The Dialogue team gets involved with 6Music #TShirtDay!

Last Friday saw various members of the Archant Dialogue team taking part in BBC Radio 6 Music’s annual #TShirtDay or ‘Wear Your Old Band T-Shirt To Work Day’!

From the classic Bowie shirt sported by Account Manager Shakiba Mohseni, through Senior Advertising Sales Executive James Boyle’s homage to Guns N’ Roses, to the more modern punk-rock stylings of Assistant Editor Jess Phillipson’s Green Day number, there was certainly a diverse range from across the musical spectrum.

Editor Matt Colley (back centre, wearing the Can t-shirt) said: “I listen to 6 Music all the time and spend most of my life wearing old band t-shirts anyway, so I thought it’d be fun to try to get other people to join in and find out a bit more about their music taste in the process.”

The photo was tweeted to @BBC6Music with the hashtag #TShirtDay, which was trending across Britain as workplaces became inundated with employees in their best gig-going apparel – and our tweet was ‘favourited’ by BBC 6 Music.

There was also a nationwide vote to find the most iconic band T-shirt of all time, with Joy Division’s timeless ‘Unknown Pleasures’ shirt being voted ‘top of the pops’ by Radio 6 Music listeners.
