British Showjumping; a Royal edition.

As the Queen pops a champagne cork to celebrate her 90th birthday, the latest issue of British Showjumping is a special Royal edition. We explore the important role that the Queen plays as a patron of British Showjumping, and go behind the scenes for the preparations of the Patron’s Lunch with Peter Phillips, the Queen’s grandson. The Royal Windsor Horse Show is another event not to be missed and Andrew Baldock discovers the plans afoot for this year’s event as organiser Simon Brooks-Ward explains all. There is also the not-so-small matter of the Rio Olympic Games looming so we ask performance manager Di Lampard about the ongoing selection process and the quest to defend our 2012 title.

British Showjumping is always first for showjumping news and views and is the magazine of the world-leading sports body. As the current Olympic gold-medal holders, Team GB showjumpers are gearing up for the Rio Olympics – will they successfully defend their title? Look out for the next issue to gain more Olympic insight.
