About Archant Dialogue

Archant Dialogue has an extremely experienced in-house team covering all aspects of customer and business magazine publishing.

As part of the £195m Archant Group, the UK's leading independent publisher, we are also able to call upon numerous resources from around the wider Archant publishing group for expertise in print, distribution and marketing.

Archant's newsstand magazine division publishes almost 100 newsstand magazines, including more than 21 county titles such as Berkshire Life, Cheshire Life and Cotswold Life. Specialist magazine titles include Photography Monthly, Pilot, Sporting Shooter, The English Garden, The English Home, So British and Sport Diver. The group also publishes 90 daily and weekly newspapers.

Robyn has 20 years of experience with Archant, she has been news and features editor of the East Anglian Daily Times before launching Suffolk magazine as editor, then publisher. Robyn was then group editor for three Life titles. In 2009 Robyn left her role as Archant Life publisher to spearhead a new project creating online publications. Currently Robyn is project managing and editing a portfolio of digital magazines.

Richard joined Archant Dialogue after graduating with a BA (Hons) in publishing design from the Norwich School of Art in 2003. He predominantly works on Harley-Davidson and produces their quarterly HOG magazine, which goes out across Europe, the Middle East and Africa in eight languages – as well as a stand alone Canadian edition.

Helen has worked in customer publishing since 2001, and has been a key member of the team on clients such as NatWest, O2, Procter & Gamble, Mothercare and Sony. She has worked at top publishers John Brown and Future, both in account management and new business. Her focus on creating truly effective – as well as attractive – magazines mean that her publications often deliver awards as well as excellent returns for the client.

Adam graduated with a BA (Hons) in Journalism and Editorial Design in 2004. After accruing a number of years experience working in editorial roles he decided to broaden his horizons and moved to the bright lights of Tokyo. Returning to the UK, Adam joined Dialogue in 2010 and works as Editorial Assistant for HOG magazine.

Anaïs graduated from the Norwich School of Art and Design in 2006 and has experience in a variety of areas of design, specialising in editorial and magazines. She joined the company in January 2007 and is enjoying designing Village Life, Uncovered, Thames Guardian, Royal Ascot Magazine, EP and ELA News.

Zoë joined Archant Dialogue in 2000 and now heads up the editorial team as Editorial Director. She has extensive experience in feature idea research, sub-editing, proof-reading, writing and managing the production process of all Dialogue's publications.

Andy heads up the advertising on all of motoring titles which includes Porschepost, HOG and Saab. His media back group has been in specialist motoring magazine and media and he has working in advertising for 13 years. Andy has been part of the Archant dialogue team since 2008 and enjoys the challenges that the company brings.

Adam studied media at NVQ level, then moved into sales at a young age managing direct sales teams in face-to-face marketing. Now Adam works on the motoring titles with Archant Dialogue and has a huge range of clients from small brilliantly skilled businesses right through to blue chip insurance companies.

Kirsty began freelancing for Archant Dialogue during the final year of her English and Creative Writing degree. Employed full-time since 2009, she has helped out with the sub-editing and proof-reading of Archant Dialogue’s various magazine titles. She now edits the British Parachuting Association’s Skydive magazine, Countryside Alliance's Update, British Eventing and Océ Dialogue.

Lynda joined Dialogue in June 2010 bringing with her 15 years of advertising sales experience after working for major publishing houses in London, Kent and Norwich. With knowledge of the leisure and food markets Lynda has worked on magazines, directories and exhibition guides. “You need to know your client and understand their business to ensure their advertising works.” is her prophecy.

Claire graduated from the Norwich School of Art and Design with a 2:1 BA (Hons) in Graphic Design in 2008, she started working for Archant Dialogue in August 2008. Claire designs Improvement, Matters Arising, Report, British Eventing, Update, Whiskeria, Army Cadet and Craegmoor Life.

Stuart joined Dialogue in November 2009 and is responsible for liaising with our clients to ensure the smooth operation of our production processes. Stuart brings a wealth of client service and project management experience within the publishing sector. Stuart ensures that channels of communication between Archant Dialogue and its clients are kept as open and thorough as possible, and ensures all stages of the production schedule are adhered to accurately.

Shakiba joined the Archant group back in 2004 and was working within the editorial department. She became part of the Dialogue team early in 2010 as Production Controller across all titles. Shakiba's role includes providing a first class advert design service, and to ensure all artwork is delivered on time and in the correct format ready for print.

Vicky joined Archant in 2001 on the regional newspaper advertising team specialising in business to business and agriculture. Following a successful six years with an award winning team she transferred to Dialogue in January 2008 bringing her wealth of experience and knowledge to us.

Amy began working freelance in Dialogue's editorial department in January 2006 while studying for an MA. Following the successful completion of this degree she joined full-time in September and has since worked on a wide range of publications, chiefly Craegmoor Life, Whiskeria, Village Life and Uncovered for Center Parcs.

Samantha Overton, Head of Advertising Sales & Production, joined Dialogue in February 2000 and has sold advertising across all of our titles that carry it. Her clients include many blue-chip companies and the top advertising agencies in the country. She has consistently performed to target and now heads up a department that makes a significant contribution to the business.

Catherine joined Archant Dialogue in the summer of 2005. She has a first-class degree with honours in English and works on a number of titles, namely Improving Your Home, Report, Seafarer and ELA News. Her role also includes sub-editing and proof-reading various other Dialogue publications.

Lisa joined the Dialogue team in July 2009 after four years of direct sales and account management in London. She has worked for JCDecaux and Informa and her experience with a range of clients has given her the ability to understand and adapt to needs of the various titles she works on. These include all of our education titles, as well as EP Magazine and Seafarer.  Lisa's consultative style means she will always deliver what her clients need.

Trained at the Royal College of Art in London, Nick escaped from a publishing career in London (IPC, Haymarket, VNU, BBC...) to become Art Director at Dialogue. Nick manages the design team and oversees all projects ensuring that they exceed our clients' expectations.

Nicola joined the Dialogue team in 2010, having previously worked in London at Emap, working within B2B publishing. Her design career began in 2007 when she graduated from Bath School of Art and Design with a BA (Hons) degree in Graphic Design. Nicola is enjoying the leap into contract publishing and predominantly works on the monthly title Porsche Post for Porsche Club GB.

Chris' background is in advertising where he worked in London and New York for leading advertising agencies such as Grey and Saatchi/KHBB. For the past seven years he has been at Archant Dialogue and throughout that time has built extremely close relationships with key clients helping them build their customer magazines into powerful brand communication tools. He is highly regarded throughout the industry.

Having returned home from Australia after four years, Jo joined Dialogue in 2008. After completing an MA in Journalism at the University of Wollongong, Australia she went on to work for Wolseley Media publishing house, based in north Sydney. Jo now edits On Business, British Eventing and EP.

Tom has been with Dialogue since 2005. He has a BA (Hons) in Media Production and works on a variety of digital projects including HOG eMagazine, HOG Europe Gallery, Océ and British Eventing eNewsletter. He also manages all online publications.

Phil joined us in 2009, he has over 14 years experience in web development. Having spent several years working for a top 100 NMA agency, where he worked on several major clients including Fujifilm UK, Kettle Foods, and Jordans. He now develops work for Harley Davidson, Océ and British Parachuting Association.

Nicky has been with Archant Dialogue since 1998. A very talented  designer, Nicky is extremely efficient and organised and is well-suited to the important role of Managing Art Editor. Nicky has a BA in graphic design from Hull University and has worked for top UK book publisher Dorling Kindersley.
